A minimal and timeless wooden bathmat designed by Tosaryu. Sustainably handmade from locally-harvested, solid Japanese hinoki cypress the raised surface is moulder processed to suppresses slippage and improve draining.

The tradition of the hinoki bathmat dates back centuries in Japan where bathers using the onsen method would use a stool and mat to sit and lather before washing off.

The hinoki (Japanese Cypress) wood is naturally resistant to decay, which makes it a natural choice for a shower or bath area and gives off a warm, signature scent making the mat a welcome addition to any bathroom.
