Long walks in raincoats on gravel roads with puddles at your feet on a rainy autumn day. As the name suggests, designer Chris Martin drew inspiration from puddles of water when he designed Puddle Table, a new sofa table from Massproductions.

In designing Puddle Table, Chris Martin wanted to create a sofa table with an organic and harmonious look and feel. Inspired by puddles of water and Alvar Aalto’s classic series of glass vases from the 1930s, Chris Martin created a sofa table in solid wood. Despite its generous size, with a width of 1.6 meters, the table’s rounded form conveys a light, sleek impression.

“I wanted to create a table consisting of three design elements: the table- top, the table edge pro le and leg shape. I worked on balancing these three forms to create a uniform design,” explains Chris Martin, head designer and co-founder of Massproductions.

Constructed in a durable, robust form, the Puddle Table is perfect for homes as well as high-traffic public spaces.
