Materials / Production

Produced in Italy on a 8-point axis CNC machine from solid ash. Painted White (RAL 9003).

Solid wood is a natural product, and it varies in colour and grain, giving uniqueness to every piece. Any particular detail of wood (grain, mirroring, cracking and colour variations), do not have to be considered as defects but rather as natural features of the material.

Product Care

Please clean the product only with a soft and damp cloth. Remove immediately any type of stain to prevent the wood, fabric or leather absorbs the liquid. Do not use abrasive sponges or other aggressive materials that could damage the product. Do not use acid cleaners, solvents or ammonia-based detergents. Do not use specific products for furniture or fabric/leather.

Product information

Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec were inspired by the Mattiazzi philosophy of furniture production. Wood has the key role in Osso and the sculpted collection invites you to feel it's highly polished surface thanks to the use of highly sophisticated digital control equipment.

Mattiazzi is a family owned producer of wooden furniture in Udine, Italy founded in 1978. Their highly specialized craftsmen operate the most sophisticated machinery available to the wood industry. An eight-axis CNC milling machine allows wood to take the complex shapes you would associate more with injection-molded plastic. Operating such a machine is an art and Mattiazzi disproves the modern myth that mechanized manufacturing is not a craft.
