In-Stock orders (not Special Order) can be returned for store credit by mail or in-store within 14 days of delivery or pickup notification provided the items are packaged and unused.
Special Order items, discounted items, showroom pieces, personal care and bath products are all final sale.
Montana Furniture offers a 5 year manufacturers warrenty on chairs/seating and a 10 year warrenty on all other products against manufacturing defects concering the materials and construction. Normal wear on fabrics and materials or accidental damage by the user are not convered.
The origin of the Kevi design dates back to 1958 when Danish architect Jørgen Rasmussen created the Kevi swivel chair. With the invention of the double-wheel castors, the chair quickly went on to become an international success. After nearly 60 years on wheels, it was time to renew the iconic design, and the four-legged Kevi was born.

In 1958, Jørgen Rasmussen and his brother began working for Kevi A/S. The twins designed a villa for Kevi's CEO, Bent Harlang. The chemistry between them was good and they were asked to design chairs for the company. Primarily Jørgen took on this assignment and designed Kevi, which by the 1960s had become a multi-purpose work chair for both the office and home.
In 1965, Rasmussen invented the double-wheel caster for which he was awarded the ID Prize. This truly was a reinvention of the wheel, now with two wheels positioned asymmetrically and rotating independently. The double-wheel caster made KEVI more manoeuvrable with less wear on floor surfaces.
The KEVI casters revolutionised the office landscape and improved working conditions for many people, and the wheels became an instant success, and are now used on furniture across the world. Today, Rasmussen is still active and he is just as determined and dedicated today as he was 50 years ago.
Montana Furniture is a family-owned company based in Denmark and established in 1982. The company is centred around sustainability, design flexibility and quality making it a leader within storage and furniture for private homes and contemporary office spaces.
Each of the Montana products are produced in Denmark at the companies own factory using exclusively water-based lacquer colours, which neither smell nor contain solvents. Montana recently became one of the first furniture manufacturers in Europe to receive the EU Ecolabel for their production and product lifespan meaning, among other things, that the wood is sourced from sustainable sources, not produced using toxic materials and has a 10 year guarantee from defect. Every eight years, Montana develops a new colour palette. The furniture company’s latest, expansive palette, released in 2019, has come into being in collaboration with expert and colour-alchemist, Margrethe Odgaaard. The new scheme - which includes 42 stock colours - explores how the colours relate to one another, to our bodies, to other materials, and to their spatial surroundings.
